Pamper Me Pink
The “Pamper Me Pink” event was held at the McKinney Facility on October 24th, 2007. This event was a chance for patients, families, healthcare professionals and members of the community to take part in the fight against breast cancer. The event included information tables with vendors, facials, manicures, massages, a fashion show provided by Stein Mart, and delicious food.
Relay For Life
"Relay For Life" is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of the American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times. The McKinney Relay for Life was held at Craig Ranch baseball fields. The McKinney Regional Cancer Center was a sponsor.
Light the Night
"Light the Night" is the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society’s nationwide evening walk to build awareness of blood cancers and to raise funds for cures. Walkers carry illuminated balloons: white for survivors, red for supporters, to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. The event was held for the first time in McKinney, at McKinney Regional Cancer Center on October 22, 2006.
